Manila Sari-Sari Store

Just be wary buying from this store. There is this lady (she is probably the owner) who does not give a rat's ass valuing your time. I have had 2 incidents with her where me and my wife got so pissed. The first strike was while we were paying for our items. She was apparently on the phone talking to a friend. As it was explained to us by the lady who was checking our items out, the EFTPOS machine processes transactions through the phone line. Her attention was called and the lady gestured she cannot use the machine. She stood up form her chair, checked the machine, went sat back and continued chatting on the phone. WTF! Talk about customer service ei? We ended up paying with cash because we cannot wait for this oaf to finish her conversation. We were held for a good 10-15 minutes just by that incident.

The second incident happened recently, where my wife went to pay for her items. It was the same lady who chatted on the phone. The difference this time was her friends are at the store. My wife placed her items on the their counter to be checked out. Instead of immediately attending to my wife, she went to the fridge to get some dessert for her friends. Talk about taking her time. She even went to open the treats while my wife was on the counter.

I am a business owner myself and I cannot understand what this woman is thinking. I guess the success of her store is getting into her head. I hope when she reads this, she will not take this personally (like most our kabayans will do) and improve their customer service.
